Why I Love America

Why I Love America

As I write this its election day. We don’t know the result. It’s only 1:20pm. I have never before prayed so much for an election. During the night when I would wake just a little I would pray for our country. Truly, I believe we are at a crossroads. Never before this have I felt an election is not a question of choosing a candidate but of choosing freedom vs totalitarianism. Sure, its not called that but give it 10 or 15 years progressing at our current rate of speed and that’s where we will be. Think of the vast amount of censorship already taking place on FaceBook, Twitter and the likes. Twitter disabled the president’s account because they didn’t like what he had to say. Who ever heard of such a thing? Bill Johnson, the pastor of Bethel, had one of his Instagram accounts suddenly closed with no explanation. In 2016 it was Kamila Harris who led the prosecution of the investigative journalists who exposed the horror that Planned Parenthood was profiting off of each abortion they did by selling the organs of fetuses. She should have been prosecuting Planned Parenthood but as they make huge donations to her politically she seemed to overlook their criminal activity opting instead to persecute anyone who might endanger their monopoly or expose their evils. And yet, we are hours away from knowing if she will be just one stroke away from running the free world. Personally I think it goes back to 1963 when prayer was taken out of public schools and thus began the redefinition what it means to have “religious freedom” or the lack thereof. I am afraid our judgement is eminent but how I pray it’s not in this generation, selfish as that may be.

When I wrote the above blog I never published it, fearing it was too political. Then I felt convicted. What a month this has been! The censorship I spoke of had only just begun! What a HUGE amount of fraud we had in the election but not one major news network will give it airtime or even credibility. (Try the Epoch Times, One America News Network or Todd Coconato’s podcast to see what I’m talking about.) Barna did a study of the 2020 election and found that 99% of evangelical Christians voted in the election and 97% voted for Trump. And yet the voices of so many seemed to have been silenced by an elect few who would like to have everyone believe theirs is the only viewpoint.

It’s been a busy month. Twice I have intended to post this blog and twice I have delayed publishing it. Granted, Christmas is a busy season. Still, I would like to use whatever small voice I have to encourage the faithful to pray, to speak up, to speak out and to implore our loving God to save our beloved nation.

Why do I love America? Because of her people. And our God who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. May the church arise and awaken to the full potential to which she was birthed. We are a nation patriots, of sinners become saints who will open their eyes and their hearts to the calling God has placed upon their lives,,,for such a time as this.
